Density-based design
Cavity volume set from your measured fill density.
Portion control · weight-target retail moulds
When the weight is printed on the pack, the cavity has to deliver it. That means designing for your product's density, not just a volume.
Overview

A labelled weight is volume times density. Change the recipe or the fill temperature and the same cavity delivers a different weight.
We work with your production team to understand fill density, then set cavity volume so your average hits the label with room to spare.
What we design for
Cavity volume set from your measured fill density.
Shrinkage on cooling factored into cavity size.
Allowance for the density range you normally see.
Drawing on file so extra trays match the first.
What we ask up front
Tell us the number. We design cavity depth and shape around it and confirm the check at manufacture.
A mousse, a batter and a set gel weigh different amounts per millilitre. We factor that into the cavity design.
How tight does the portion need to be? We agree the tolerance up front and hold to it.
Volume drifts if a mould deforms. We spec grade and wall thickness to hold cavity shape through your wash regime.

Questions
Density figures from a few batches help us a lot.
Tell us. We will check whether the cavity still hits weight.
Yes, shallow enough not to affect packing.
